I love Franco but anyone saying he did a great job is delusional. The writing wasn't great but it's never great. The host needs to bring at least a small amount of charisma and personality. I don't really understand anything Franco's done in recent years. I think he's trying too hard to be an artist and an outsider, and this is coming from someone who loves art. If you don't like this part of Hollywood, don't host the Oscars.
