Podcasting Tutorial – Video 4: Web and Media Hosting

At 4:18 you say there will be a video teaching how to set up a blog in wordpress and host it at bluehost, but I can't find it.

Brother silly question but what software do I use to produce a video like you're doing right now? Presentation video to go with voice only Podcast? Speak slowly I'm a stroke survivor! lol Hopefully launching my Podcast "I'm Injured Not Stupid" in around 4 months. I think the worlds first?

#moviethisguy I find it really interesting that I've yet to find any videos on youtube that simply, literally shows how to upload a podcast. This video was educational enough but why is nobody ever making a video of them uploading a podcast? Is it some sort of secret or is it just a common knowledge that everyone should understand? @Pascal Stifani

Hey there. is it a must to have a website, or can you just go ahead and use libsyn without?

on S3 you would have to do 10TB of traffic before you equal 18 bucks…. or… about 100,000 downloads

Question: you said "at the end of the month it clears out and I get a new 250" does that mean there is no archiving?

I like Libson too but have you ever heard of Hipcast for media hosting?

You can't host a podcast with wordpress for free. You have to have at least the premium plan.

Libsyn no longer offers the full range of stats in the video for the $15/mo option…..you have to go with the 400MB service.
250MB just cuts it too thin…Soundcloud has unlimited upload for $15 and includes full range of stats.

Thanks for the video Pat, I was wondering, when hosting with Libsyn monetization is optional right? I want to put my own audio and visual advertising on my podcast but they dont allow that with Monetisation. Many thanks in advance…

are there any free media host? I just need one that lets me embed so I can add it to my WordPress blog post. I just want to try I really do not have the money to pay for anything. Thanks.

I have iWeb on my MacBook Pro can I use that as my web host?

I am regaining my composure in podcasting endeavors this year, and I cannot currently subscribe to Libsyn because of budget size, although I think if you are going to go with an inexpensive podcast server, Libsyn is the ONE.  I am currently using Pod-O-matic because I can get started right away, which also allows you to link your account to iTunes through your account (Pod-O-Matic) RSS feed.  Once my budget allows it, I will definitely go back to Libsyn, I love their player (you can embed in your post), the ease of using their website, everything about it! I did my first podcast today after a year or so, and I sound absolutely horrible, but I think the more I do the better I will sound. Thanks Pat for the encouragement!

Hello I am planning on creating a video podcast and I was wondering who has the best hosting?

If you already have a domain with "Hover" would this be the exact same as using "Blue Host" or is their specific perks you get by podcasting using Blue Host rather than any other for your Host? Or is a Host just a Host.?
